Pursuant to CBSA Bylaws, Article III – Membership
Sec. 1. Membership Categories.
There are four categories of membership: service center, mill, plater and honorary. Members must meet the requirements stated in the Bylaws and the Policies as established by the Board from time to time.
Sec. 1A.
Service Center Membership. Any individual, partnership, corporation, or a division, subsidiary or department of a company that is engaged in distribution of copper and/or copper alloy mill products in the form received from the producers or recut to length or size, is eligible for service center membership. Service centers must meet all the eligibility requirements for Service Center Membership stated in the Policies as established by the Board from time to time.
Sec.1B.
Mill Membership. Producers and fabricators of copper and copper alloy mill products must meet all the eligibility requirements for Mill Membership stated in the Policies as established by the Board from time to time.
Sec. 1C.
Plater Membership. Platers of copper and/or copper alloy mill cast or wrought products must meet all the eligibility requirements for Plater Membership stated in the Policies as established by the Board from time to time.
Upon application, a candidate so qualified shall become a Service Center, Mill or Plater Member of the Association upon approval by a majority of the Directors and upon subscribing to the Constitution and Bylaws and the payment of annual dues on demand.
Sec. 1D.
Honorary Membership. Upon a majority vote of the members of the Board of Directors, honorary membership may be conferred upon individuals who advance the interest of and provide an outstanding service to the Association and the industry, and who have retired from all commercial activity in the industry.
Exceptions to any of the foregoing requirements for any category of membership may be made by the Board of Directors upon its determination that the particular circumstances will not be to the detriment of the association or the applicant.
