Service Center Training

Each year, CBSA offers its supplier members a valuable opportunity to invite CBSA service center personnel to a unique one-day training. During this hands-on educational experience, attendees receive direct training from industry experts including classroom-style presentations and a tour of the hosting mills’ operations.

Sales Training Course - $25

This custom-designed sales training course is based upon the Guide for Marketing – Copper, Brass, Bronze. The home-study course consists of separate question and answer booklets. Many distributor and brass mill companies use it as an important component of their training programs for both inside and outside sales personnel.

CBSA Connections is a complimentary member e-newsletter published monthly that contains event information, committee activities, general business and industry news as well as information about legislation and government regulations affecting copper metal industry companies, member company developments and personnel changes, promotions and more.

CBSA Flash Market Trend Report is a comprehensive report free to CBSA members on service centers’ shipments in a number of key product categories and is a “must” for those interested in charting trends in the copper and brass products distribution industry. Both month-to-month and year-to-year comparisons are offered in addition to year-to-date shipment figures. It also includes a look at key business indicators from the perspective of service centers and suppliers.

CBSA Advisor is a quarterly economic report developed by CBSA’s Chief Economist Alan Beaulieu for use by CBSA members. Each issue beings with a macroeconomic look at business conditions, plus a quick overview of the current snapshot indicators before diving into an examination of several major industries and economic influencers, including a state-by-state tracking of home permits. The issue wraps up with the U.S. Copper and Brass Producer Price Index and an in-depth analysis of a vertical industry relevant to CBSA members.

Guide for Marketing – Copper, Brass, Bronze is a comprehensive, 344-page text divided into separate sections: commercial, technical and sales and is considered a “must read” for anyone buying or selling copper and brass mill products as it contains many charts, illustrations and technical data.
